The Val di Fiemme, a natural paradise located between the Latemar Massif and the Pale di San Martino, in East Trentino, has everything you are looking for in a glamorous holiday: exclusive sports and cultural events, luxury hotels with high quality comfort, wellness and gourmet package, wonderful ski runs and many activities for your leisure time and the entire family.
If you like winter sports, you may want to know that the Val di Fiemme is an important location for cross-country skiing: the Marcialonga, famous long distance race, takes place here; moreover, the valley hosted the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 and 2003, and is preparing to host them again in 2013. The valley features of course some excellent cross-country skiing trails, like those on the Tesero Lake and the Lavazé-Oclini Pass. If you prefer downhill skiing, you have at your disposal no less than 110 km slopes and 5 ski areas. There are also ski mountaineering and snowshoeing routes.
In summer, the valley is the perfect destination for practicing trekking, climbing and mountain biking, but also for horseback riding, on the 400 km of the East Trentino Horse Trail.
Val di Fiemme offers a lot to the families. In fact, it is “the valley of the smiling children”: luxury hotels with many services ad hoc for children, many outdoor activities in winter and summer, playgrounds and Adventure Park, museums, kindergarten, hiking with buggies…
Val di Fiemme features also many wellness centers with panoramic and wide pools, biological treatments, and genuine high-quality gastronomy with zero-km products. It is the valley of violins: the director Stradivari used the wood of spruce pine of the Paneveggio forest to realize his violins.
The Val di Fiemme valley also hosts Sounds of the Dolomites, a music festival where musicians perform with breathtaking natural settings as their stage. At the end of winter, soft jazz music fills the valley during the traditional festival Dolomiti Ski Jazz.
