Val di Sole is the westernmost section of Trentino and stretches along the Noce stream, between the Adamello Brenta Nature Park and the Stelvio National Park. Some of the most beautiful and imposing mountain groups of the Dolomites, like Ortles Cevedale, Brenta Dolomites and Adamello Presanella surround the luxury hotels and from the windows of the suites, you can admire the most impressive sceneries, made of bare rocks, thick forests, lush pastures and clear waters. A chic holiday made especially of river sports, skiing until May and lots of thermal relaxation.

The main element of the valley is without a doubt water: turbulent in the Noce stream, clear and static in the 100 mountain lakes; clear and calm in the charming tarns, beneficial in the spas of Pejo and Rabbi; frozen on the Presena. The valley is a paradise for those who love extreme river sports: in the Noce stream you can practice rafting, canoeing, kayaking and hydrospeed. The valley hosted in 1993 the Canoe Slalom World Championships, in 2005 the Junior World Championships and in 2010 the Rafting European Championships.

If you feel brave enough and are looking for something new, you can choose among many exciting sports, both in summer and winter: from ice to free climbing, from canyoning to tarzaning. Not enough? Try horseback riding, paragliding, archery, sport fishing or orienteering. The two natural reserves are perfect for trekking in summer and snowshoeing in winter, whereas mountain bikers have at their disposal the cycle path that runs along the Noce and over 300 km of paths of different difficulty and levels, often theatre of global competitions.

There is no lack of snow in Val di Sole: the ski centers of Pejo3000, Tonale Pass and Folgarida-Marilleva, connected to Madonna di Campiglio, offer perfectly groomed slopes and state of the art ski lifts. Moreover, two snowparks for the snowboard’s passionate on Tonale, ski mountaineering itineraries, cross-country centres and skiing from October to May on the Presena Glacier.

Val di Sole is the perfect choice if you are looking for an active holidays, but the valley is good also for relaxation and wellness: in addition to the wellness centers of the 4 and 5 star luxury hotels, the modern spa resorts of Pejo and Rabbi offer the best therapies for many diseases, and a wide range of beauty treatments.
