Surrounded by larches and imposing peaks, it will be very easy to slow down and indulge in wellness. The small but refined SPA is the kingdom of peace: relaxation rooms with fireplace, Infinity panoramic swimming pool, Turkish bath, and treatments await you.
There are two wellness areas available: one in the Main Lodge with panoramic relaxation room, hot pool with saline water that flows from the inside out giving a unique view of the mountains, Turkish bath and, on the first floor, rooms for customized holistic treatments, where you can take care of yourself with natural products; and the fitness area.
Outside, the lawn invites to enjoy the sun or to read in the shade. Protected by trees, in the heart of nature, there is the Spa in the woods with a Finnish sauna, aromatic bio sauna and relaxation room, where you can purify yourself and find balance.
Creativity and local raw materials
Alpine-Mediterranean gourmet cuisine curated by Hannes Pignater, a brilliant and exceptional chef who, together with his staff, creates genuine dishes by capturing local flavors and traditions, revisiting them in a modern, creative, and light way. In his culinary creations, Mediterranean lightness blends with alpine solidity, the wise use of color, and the harmony of flavors give rise to surprising natural delights.
In the preparation of the dishes, only fresh local products are used. Even the best products from the region are used for drinks, as well as the best regional wines produced by small family-run wineries.

Adventures for everyone on the Renon
The Renon Plateau is an oasis of peacefulness where you can experience many adventures in the nature that surrounds you. In every season you can renew vitality with the many activities available: walks, excursions, electric bike and mountain bike rides through meadows and woods, walks along the snowy paths, sledding, ski mountaineering, or downhill skiing on the slopes of the Corno del Renon.
The ADLER Lodge RITTEN also offers an innovative indoor program with group or personal yoga sessions, workouts in the panoramic gym with Technogym equipment followed and personally recommended by the staff, and an outdoor program updated every week with hiking, cycling or e-bike, meditation in nature or walks to explore the local flora and fauna.

The lodge in nature, nature inside the lodge
The structure was born from an idea by Andreas and Klaus Sanoner who wanted to create a perfect retreat where they could completely abandon themselves to relaxation in an intimate and peaceful setting. The result is a unique hotel built with eco- natural and environmentally friendly materials, in full respect of nature and the surrounding area.
The simple but never banal architecture is enriched with new elements that embellish and surprise: eagle, dragon and owl heads, or the decorated wrought iron lift.
Even the interiors fascinate with its combination of styles. Here the alpine style is combined with tribal references and African art creating original and eclectic spaces. The decorated walls that seem to be inlaid with tribal decorations and bright colors are actually molded wooden panels laid in such a way to give the effect of a bas-relief. These are made with innovative machines by a South Tyrolean artisan company.

The lodge in nature
The hotel is easily reached by car and is just 30 minutes from the center of Bolzano. Alternatively, you can reach the lodge via the cable car that leaves from the center of Bolzano, followed by a suggestive and romantic walk in the woods, which ends in a large clearing, where the main entrance of the structure stands out and chalets blend harmoniously into unspoiled nature.
The Lodge was in fact built according to the concept of a "forest", with careful respect paid to the surrounding ecosystem: to minimize the environmental impact, the entire structure was covered with black-painted wood and autochthonous natural materials were used, spruce and untreated larch wood, oak and glass floors. The simple and essential lines, enriched with small and perfect details, give life to a structure that does not impose itself on the landscape but becomes an integral part of it. The interiors are a perfect mix of internationality and combination of style - from classic furnishings and local artisanship to African art, while the skilful use of light and the use of sound-absorbing ceilings guarantee a relaxing environment and an atmosphere of absolute peace.
Main Lodge, suites and chalets
The ADLER Lodge RITTEN consists of a central building: a three-floored Main Lodge with large windows overlooking the Dolomites, high ceilings, and large open spaces where the wellness area and the fitness area are located; the second floor houses the reception area; and a large central fireplace and lounge area on the third floor also houses an open kitchen and restaurant with sky light windows for dining under a starry sky. Next to the Main Lodge are two complexes with 20 suites immersed in the woods all equipped with bio sauna, and 20 suggestive chalets, some located around a natural pond, with one or two floors with sauna and fireplace, fine finishes and large windows.
Additionally, there is a wellness area in the woods for rejuvenation surrounded by the silence of the forest, among alpine scents and healing herbs, and a beautiful lawn where you can bask in the sun or read in the shade of the trees. The wellness facilities have also been enhanced with a new yoga pavilion in the woods, a refurbished relaxation room and the addition of two new spa treatment rooms.
ALDER Lodge RITTEN’s cuisine
In line with the resort's concept of eco-sustainability, nature is a protagonist at the table too. In the gourmet kitchen, locally sourced typical regional and seasonal products are used, such as herbs, roots, tubers, vegetables, Wagyu and Chianina beef, organic eggs, and honey from small local producers, but also valuable cider, mountain apple juice from the Renon, wines, spirits and liquors from the area. The hotel offers an all-inclusive formula with three meals and a wide selection of fruit juices, beers, wines and spirits available all day. In the morning, a hearty breakfast buffet with peasant and homemade specialties awaits you. From 01.00 p.m. to 05.00 p.m., an afternoon snack with savory bites, three light hot dishes of your choice, desserts and fruit to be enjoyed on the sunny terrace.
The ADLER Lodge RITTEN is pleased to present its new garden to its guests. Only a few steps away from the main building, on an area of about 4,000 sqm, small fields and herbs are cultivated. The garden is not only intended as a source of supply, but also as a small oasis of relaxation with a pond, small paths and benches.
The hotel also has a completely hidden underground garage where you can leave your car and enjoy a holiday in absolute freedom, moving on foot, by cable car, or using the characteristic Renon train.
