* As soon as the first rays of sunshine timidly appear on the surrounding mountain peaks, it becomes clear that getting up early was worth it. A mountain tour to watch the sunrise on Mt Sciliar/Schlern is a special experience.
The meeting point with the mountain guide is at 4 a.m. in Compatsch on the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm. From there, a shuttle service will take you to the Saltnerhütte Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you’ll reach Mt Petz at 2,564m just in time for sunrise at around 6.50 a.m. After this natural spectacle, a well-deserved breakfast awaits the early risers at the Rifugio Bolzano/Schlernhaus hut, also known as the “castle in the mountains”.

Elena De Martin met Ashtanga Yoga in the late 1990s. Since 2000, she has travelled to India every year to deepen her experience at the source of the tradition, meeting great Masters such as Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, his daughter Sarasvati and his grandson R. Sharath Jois. To broaden her knowledge more and more, she studied Sanskrit, Yoga Philosophy, the scriptures and their Chanting under M.A. Jayashree and M.A. Narasimhan.
